I am a person, a human being, someone you have to understand and someone who always listens to their heart.

 

I was born, raised and studied in UAE – an Emirati. But I prefer speaking English more than Arabic and that’s what I identify with. For the longest time I used to be a person who was shy and scared of the world. I have always been alone since I was little.. constantly shunned out from the world, hidden in a shell, fearful of being judged.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has felt like this.

 

Almost a decade ago, I stopped talking and sharing due to a huge personal loss. It took me a while until I started to open up again but once I began It never stopped. Public speaking became a profession, something that I do on a daily basis. I love to inspire people about my journey in life as a person of determination and how it hasn’t changed me as a person. For me, to be a motivational speaker is to inspire the students in schools and colleges, to tell them about how our community is slowly changing and accepting people of determination as part of this world. I want to show them that people of determination are amazing and fun people to know, and the world can learn so much from them.

 

One of the life-changing experiences and proud moments of my life was when I was selected in “The Makers” team to collaborate and orchestrate the opening and closing ceremonies for the Special Olympics 2019. I worked with experts and people of determination to create an unforgettable event. I was actually on stage reciting a spoken word poem in front of over 40,000 people.

 

A beautiful song that I wrote was played at the opening night of the special Olympics. Soon after this I was featured in Humans of New York with over 250,000 likes to my post.

I was invited to Gems Modern Academy (GMA), Safa British School, and Middlesex University to give a motivational speech about my life to inspire the students and see them connect.

Recently I participated in a debate called Debate Pro, where I competed against three other people of determination to receive a follow-up trophy.

Last but not least one of my great achievements was to gave the closing speech at the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE).
